After their regular season ended the Elks headed to face 3 other opponents at the SWS Intercollegiate Conference. Lincoln University, Bethesda University and Justice College faced off at Great Park in Irvine CA. Stanton was up first playing against Lincoln University from Oakland California clinching a 4 - 1 victory securing a spot in the finals. Bethesda faced Justice College from Chandler, Arizona being defeated 4 - 1. The sunny Southern California weather however didn't live up to its hype as there was heavy rain and thunderstorms throughout the 3rd Place match and the Final match. Nevertheless the Elks gave it their absolute best and came out on top with a 5 - 2 victory against Justice College with goals by Benjamim Freitas, Lucas Dino and Dami Gerding. Furthermore the award for Best Goalkeeper was awarded to Jafar Chehade, Top Scorer was awarded to our senior Benjamim Freitas and Best Coach went to Diogo Pereira who led the Elks throughout this incredible season. Congratulations Stanton Men's Soccer Team!
